No matter which email marketing system you use, Emma or PatronChimp, your email marketing Campaigns will generate statistics.

With integrated email marketing systems, like Emma and PatronChimp, those statistics will feedback into PatronManager. Here's how to understand what they mean.

Email Campaign

Don't see these fields on your Campaign? Make sure you're looking at a PatronChimp or Emma Campaign and add the fields to your page layout if they're not there!

1. Number Sent

The number of emails that left your system, whether or not they went through properly.

2. Number Bounced

The number of emails that didn't have a valid email address attached, and so bounced back. These email addresses will be excluded from your email campaigns in the future.

3. Number Opened

The number of emails that PatronManager was able to detect were viewed by a patron. PatronManager does this by looking to see if the images loaded in the patron's email client.

Remember that lots of email clients, including Gmail, don't display emails by default - these emails will not be counted as "opened," even though your patrons may have read them.

4. Number Clicked

The number of patrons who actually clicked on a link in your campaign.

5. Click Rate vs. Opened

The percentage of patrons who read your email (or at least displayed the images) and clicked on a link.

6. Number Opt-Outs

The number of patrons who asked to be removed from your mailing list after receiving this email - these Patrons will not be mailed by your campaigns in the future.

7. Open Rate vs. Sent

The percentage of emails that went out that were opened (again, using displayed images as a way to make the determination).

8. Click Rate vs. Sent

The percentage of emails that went out that resulted in a patron clicking on a link.
