There are several settings you can utilize to customize the legacy PatronTicket Box Office Android app. Here's an overview.
Access the settings menu
To access the settings menu, open the PatronTicket Box Office app from your Android tablet and tap and hold anywhere on the screen. A blue bar will appear at the top:
From this blue bar, you can log out of your PatronManager user, refresh the app, or tap the three buttons to open the menu. Choose settings for more options:
App Settings
There are several settings you may want to customize or confirm before you begin processing credit card payments with the Mobile Box Office.
- Adjust the Orientation of the app. You'll want to choose Landscape or Reverse Landscape, depending on how you'll hold the device.
- Be sure your Landing Page is "Production Org".
- Enable Card Swiper should be selected if you wish to process credit card transactions using a swiping device.
- Payment Processor should be set to Bluefin.
- As long as you've paired your device, it should appear here.
- Disregard this setting - it's not applicable to Bluefin users (like you!).
- If you experience any unexpected behavior with the app, Send an Error Log to the product development team!
How do I keep the app up to date?
Ideally, you have automatic updates enabled, but in case you don't, here's how to update the app manually and turn on automatic updates along the way:
1. Navigate to the Google Play Store app
2. Open the menu from the top left of the screen
3. Choose "My apps & games"
4. Scroll and select "PatronTicket Box Office"
5. If an "Update" button appears, tap it
6. Before exiting the Play Store, enable auto-updates
7. Test it out!
After updating the app, we recommend processing a test transaction to make sure you're ready to go.
I'm getting an "SSL Error" when I try to log in to the app
If you are receiving an "SSL Error" like the one pictured below, you may need to update the security settings on your Android device.
Open your Android device's settings and check for any available security updates.
