This article outlines an add-on product that can be purchased at an additional configuration cost. If your organization is brand new to PatronManager, this may already be included in your contract - check with your Project Manager if you're not sure!
What's included in this project?
This project involves setting up the integration of a third-party gift card solution in your PatronManager account. As with most third-party integrations, you'll first need to work with the provider (STS) to set up your gift card terminal.
Our friends at STS will help you design physical gift cards and set up online purchasing branded for your organization which you can embed on your website. Patrons can schedule when e-gift cards are sent, and recipients can redeem them online or through the box office.
Once your account is configured through STS, we'll set up the integration between your STS account and PatronManager. This integration will also include some small changes to your PatronTicket setup to accommodate the gift card payment functionality.
If your organization is currently processing gift cards through another system, STS offers a one-time service to transfer remaining balances and gift card IDs into their database.
In addition to email or text gift cards, you can also sell physical, plastic gift cards with your company logo. These will be designed and purchased directly from STS, and then you will be in charge of sending these out to your patrons.

How long does this project take?
Getting up and running with STS gift cards typically takes 2-3 weeks.

1. Send an email to STS (Let them know that you're a PatronManager client, to ensure that you're set up with our PatronManager pricing. You'll work with STS to fill out the paperwork and provide things like your logo, and then approve your online gift card site.
2. Set up your Stripe account
You'll also need to sign up for a Stripe account for receiving gift card payments. Be aware that this step may involve approval from multiple departments on your end.
3. We'll manage the STS integration in your PatronManager account
STS will communicate with the PatronManager team directly when your account is ready to be integrated. We'll reach out to let you know our expected timeline for completing your integration.
4. Launching your Gift Card options
You can "go live" with e-gifts (emailed cards) and/or m-gifts (mobile/text cards) as soon as your account is set up. Physical gift cards require a little more time; once you approve the card design, STS requires 10-15 business days to print the gift cards, plus a few additional days to receive them in the mail.
