Before you begin....

Have you already completed these prerequisite paths?

If not, we recommend you complete those paths, then come back here!

You can’t sell tickets until you build your events in PatronManager! Whether you are building one event, multiple events, or a Subscription package, this Learning Path will give you the tools you need to create and manage your events in PatronManager.

After completing this Learning Path, you'll understand how to:

  • Build Ticketable Events and Event Instances
  • Build a Subscription Package
  • Build Memberships
  • Create Discount Codes

You'll also learn all about:

  • The Fee Setup Tab
  • Your presale and exclusive access options

This Learning Path should take approximately three hours to complete; or four hours with Subscriptions or Memberships; or five hours with Subscriptions and Memberships.

1. Build Your Events

Estimated time: 2 - 4 hours

Let's start with the tools you need to make building events in PatronManager a breeze.

1.1. Ticketable Events and Event Instances

This section will teach you how to create new events from scratch, clone events, manage ticket inventory, and more!

Required for all organizations:

1.2. Event Inventory

Knowing how to manage your event inventory is important when you need to hold seats, move seats into a different section, or simply add or remove tickets to a general admission event.

1.3. Subscriptions

If your organization sells subscriptions (or wants to!), start by learning about the different subscription packages available in PatronManager, then we'll walk you through how to set up your subscriptions.

If your organization sells memberships (or wants to!), start by learning about Memberships and the Benefits they can grant in PatronManager, and then we'll show you how to set them up.

2. Event Administration

Estimated time: 1 hour

You're events are all set up, now what? When you need to update ticketing fees, create Discount Codes, set up a presale or grant exclusive access to your events, PatronManager has everything you need to manage your events!

2.1. Fees

You can be as transparent as you want with your patrons when it comes to fees. In PatronManager you can setup per order or per ticket fees, fees based on venue or order source, and more.

Discount Codes are a great way to extend special offers to your patrons!
