How to Resend a PatronPortal Welcome Email: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1108291

Sometimes patrons lose (or accidentally delete) the PatronPortal welcome email that contained their username and temporary password. At that point, you'll receive a message asking you to resend the email.

Due to security restrictions, you cant simply resend the welcome email. Instead, you'll need to disable the Portal user's login, then re-enable their login to generate a new temporary password. We'll walk you through the process below - it should only take about five minutes.

1. Open the patron's Contact record and click the "Disable Customer User" action

Don't see this action?

2. Click "Disable Customer User" on the popup message

3. Once the page updates, click the "Enable Customer User" action

4. Click "Save" and the new welcome email will be sent!

Wait! I got an error message
Duplicate Nickname Error

When you create the new PatronPortal user for this patron, you may receive the following error:

Error: Duplicate Nickname. Another user has already selected this nickname. Please select another.

Salesforce needs user Nicknames to be unique, so this patron's old Portal user likely has the same Nickname as this one. You can get past this error to save the new Portal user by adjusting the Nickname slightly, such as adding a 1 to the end.
