Setting up Your Membership Program: Home: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1386067

With our Memberships and Benefits feature, you can set up and manage your entire membership program right inside PatronManager. In this article, we'll cover how to build your entire program from start to finish. You'll need to:

  1. Create your Benefit Levels
  2. Add discounts to your Benefit Levels
  3. Add early access to your Benefit Levels
  4. Add tracking for any special perks your members will get
  5. Get your Benefit Levels ready to sell and put them on your Public Ticketing Site (PTS)

All told, you'll want to set aside about three hours for the entire process - but there's no need to complete this all in one day.

While it's not required, Memberships and Benefits work best if you're also using PatronPortal.

1. Create your Benefit Levels

Benefit Levels are the key to your whole program - your patrons will buy memberships at the Gold Level, the Silver Level, etc.

Later on in this article, you'll define the types of benefits each Level should get - but first, we need to create them.

To do: create each of your Benefit Levels with this article, then come back here

Your Benefit Level has been created!

2. Add discounts to your Benefit Levels

Now we'll create Discount Codes and attach them to our Benefit Levels. That way, when members log into our Public Ticketing Site, they'll automatically have the best discount applied to their order.

You can define different discounts for different Benefit Levels - maybe Gold members gets 10% off all tickets they purchase, while Silver members get 5% off all tickets.

To do: create each of your Discount Codes and link them to your Benefit Levels with this article, then come back here

3. Add early access to your Benefit Levels

Time to create Passcodes, then use them to add presales to specific performances and attach our Benefit Level to those dates. That way, when members log into our Public Ticketing Site, they'll automatically be granted early access.

Like discounts, you can grant different presale dates to different Benefit Levels.

To do: create any presales you want your members to get with our How to Set Up Early Access / Presales article (specifically using option 2), then come back here

4. Add tracking for any special perks your members will get

What about non-ticketing perks of being a member? Maybe everyone is supposed to get a swag bag, and your Gold members specifically get a signed letter.

You can track those in PatronManager, too! We'll add custom fields to track when we fulfilled these perks for each member.

To do: create a tracking field for each perk with our How to Track Special Perks/Benefits for Members article, then come back here

5. Get your Benefit Levels ready to sell and put them on your Public Ticketing Site (PTS)

Now that you've put all this work into your program, it's time to sell those memberships! In your Membership Inventory, we'll create different price levels and attach those price levels to the Benefit Levels you set up.

Once we complete this step, patrons can start purchasing Memberships! When they do, they'll automatically get an invitation to log in to Portal and start using their Benefits.

To do: set up your Membership Inventory with our How to Create a Membership to Sell a Benefit Level article, then come back here

6. You're done - fantastic work!
