Hey, Box Office Superstar! This Learning Path is designed to get you up and running with all your daily tasks like selling tickets, processing refunds, and more.

After completing this Learning Path, you'll understand how to:

  • Sell single tickets
  • Sell subscriptions, if applicable to your organization
  • Refund and exchange tickets
  • Print tickets
  • Work with Gift Cards, if applicable to your organization

This Learning Path should take approximately one hour and fifteen minutes to complete, or two hours for folks completing the Gift Card section of this path.

1. Selling Tickets and Subscriptions

Estimated time: 30 minutes

Ticket and Subscription sales are the essentials of your box office operations. Let's jump in right meow!

1.1. How to Sell Tickets

Let's start with a look at PatronManager Box Office and walk through how to sell a ticket. You'll also learn how to reserve seats and use Box Office Express.

Does your organization sell subscriptions? If so, you'll want to learn all the ins and outs of subscription orders.

Required for some organizations: (ask your supervisor)

2. Refunds and Exchanges

Estimated time: 20 minutes

Your patrons will undoubtedly need to exchange tickets or get a refund at some point. In both cases, it's important to be fur-miliar with the process in PatronManager.

Be sure to check with your supervisor regarding your organization's policies for refunds and exchanges.

2.1. Ticket Refunds

Need to refund an entire order, or maybe just one ticket from a larger order? No problem!

Learn how to return a previously purchased ticket and replace it with a new ticket.

3. Ticket Printing

Estimated time: 20 minutes

Whether you're printing tickets for a single ticket order or an entire event, we'll help you get ready to print those purr-ty tickets!

3.2. Batch Print Tickets

Batch printing is perfect when you need to print all of tonight's will call tickets out, or when you're mailing your subscribers' tickets to them.

4. Working with Gift Cards

Estimated time: 40 minutes

Gift cards are a great way for your patrons to share their love of your organization with family and fur-ends. Fortunately, we've got all the resources here to get you ready to go!

Got STS?

Your organization must be set up with the STS integration to sell and redeem Gift Cards with PatronManager. Complete this section only if your organization currently uses Gift Cards with STS, or may be interested in selling Gift Cards in the future.

4.1. About STS and Selling Gift Cards

Most of your patrons will buy their gift cards online, through your customized LocalGiftCards site. But for those patrons who call or come into your box office, no worries - you can still sell in person.

4.2. Gift Card Transactions

When your patrons are ready to use their Gift Card, follow the steps below to apply their Gift Card as payment on a Ticket Order. You can also process a refund and apply the funds to an STS Gift Card.
