How to Use the Sales Overview Report: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1429641

Use this report to get a quick summary of how your sales are going for all Event Instances occurring during a specific date range. Unlike most reports in the Financial Reports tab, this report includes receivables and reservations.

How to access the report

You'll find this report in the Financial Reports tab, in the "Event/Wrap Reports" section.

Setting the date range

Clicking the report link prompts you for an Event Instance date range. This represents when the Event Instances take place, not the transaction date. Enter a date range and click "Submit".

Reading the report

  1. Click this button to hide reservations and see only completed sales
  2. Click Back to change the date range you selected
  3. You can export to Excel from here
  4. You can also schedule future runs (using this same date range) to be sent automatically via email
  5. Here you can see the Event Instance Date Range you set in the previous step
  6. The Ticketable Event column lists the name of the Ticketable Event for each Instance
  7. The Event Instance column provides the name of each Event Instance. They appear in chronological order by Instance Date.
  8. This column shows the quantity and dollar amount of tickets held in Reservation Ticket Orders for each Instance
  9. The Sold column represents the quantity and dollar amount of single tickets sold on completed Ticket Orders, excluding those sold via the Comp payment method
  10. The Subscription column represents tickets sold as part of subscription packages for each Instance
  11. The Comp column represents the number of tickets "sold" using the Comp payment method. There is no amount column because the amount would always be zero.
  12. The Summary column totals the values of all columns to its left
  13. The final column shows the number of tickets still available (not sold or held on Ticket Orders) for each Instance. It does not include a dollar value because tickets can be sold at multiple Price Levels, discounts, etc.
  14. The Total row at the bottom summarizes the totals in each column across all Event Instances shown
