How to Use the Event Summary Report: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/975228
The Event Summary report shows sales totals for a whole event at once. This is similar to the Performance reports, but the Event Summary report shows net totals only.
This article will provide a tour of the Event Summary report. Let's take a gander!
1. Click on the App Launcher
2. Navigate to the Box Office Reports tab
4. Click on the Event for which you want to see the Event Summary Report
6. Here's what you get:
- Sales Summary: These are the top-level totals for all of the event instances in this event. The Net Sales box will be broken down further in sections 2, 3, & 4 below.
- Payment Summary: The same top-level totals are broken down by payment method in this box. Note that subscription tickets all have a payment method of "Subscription" rather than the original purchase method. (You can always run a Performance Report for the subscription itself to see the original subscription payment methods, or run the Subscription Breakout report to find out more details about the subscription package.) Tickets that were "purchased" in exchange for a different ticket have a payment method of "Exchange."
- Ticket/Fees Summary: The net totals for this performance are broken down by "ticket type": Full Price, Discounted, Subscription, and Comp.
- Net Sales Breakdown: This shows you more detail about the tickets sold, grouped by Event Instance.
7. A note on Subscription totals:
- The Subscription amount in the "Ticket/Fees Summary" box is the total value of all subscription tickets for this event, including any upcharges / downcharges that happened on Subscriptions where you were collecting additional money from patrons, or refunding money to them, in the form of cash or credit card charges, etc.
- The "Subscription" line in the payment summary box reflects transactions that have "Subscription" as the payment method -- so it's just the value of the tickets in the original subscription package. Those upcharges / downcharges have other payment methods, so they're not part of that line.
