Configuring the Purchase Time Before Show Dashboard / Purchase Time After Opening Night Report: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1101229

The Purchase Time Before Show dashboard provides valuable insight into how tickets are sold leading up to a performance. It allows you to analyze ticket purchase behavior and trends, and this information about patrons' buying behavior can be used to inform marketing decisions.

The Purchase Time After Opening Night report and chart is equally helpful by illustrating how many tickets were sold before and after opening night.

1. Install the PatronManager Ticketing Add-On Reports package

Head over here for instructions on installing the PatronManager Ticketing Add-On Reports package. The package contains several other nifty reports and dashboards, so enjoy!

2. Open the "Purchase Time Before Show" report

In the Reports tab, navigate to your "All Reports" folder and search for the report called "Purchase Time Before Show". Click the down arrow next to the report and select "Edit" to go straight to the customization screen.

This will save you having to wait for the report to load, which may take a long time, as by default it includes all Ticketable Events!

3. Clone the report with "Save As"

  1. Click the down arrow next to "Save" and click "Save As"
  2. Give the cloned report a new name, like "[Event Name] Purchase Time Before Show"
  3. Make sure to save it in a public folder, not "My Personal Custom Reports", if other users should be able to see the report.
  4. When finished, click "Save".

Cloning the report retains the template so you can use it again in the future.

4. Add Event-specific filters to the report

Add a filter for "Ticketable Event equals [paste the name of your desired event]".

You're free to further customize the report with additional filters, but we recommend leaving the columns and summaries as-is, as these feed into the dashboard charts. If the columns and summaries are changed, this may require updating the charts as well.

Remember to click "Save" when done!

5. Open the "Purchase Time Before Show" dashboard

In the Dashboards tab, select "Purchase Time Before Show" and click "Edit".

6. Set your new report as the data source for the "Purchase Time Before Show" dashboard

Use the Pencil icon on each Dashboard component to customize their Data Source.

In the Edit Component pop-up, search for your new report, then select Update.

Then repeat for each of the other three dashboard elements.

You can also take this opportunity to click the pencil above any dashboard element and further customize it, if you like. Click here to learn more about customizing dashboards.

7. Open the "Purchase Time Before or After Opening" report

In the Reports tab, navigate to the report called "Purchase Time Before or After Opening". Click the down arrow next to the report and select "Edit".

8. Clone the "Purchase Time Before or After Opening" report with Save As

Give the cloned report a new name, like "[Event Name] Before or After Opening Night". Make sure to save it in a public folder, not "My Personal Custom Reports", if other users should be able to see the report.

9. Add Event-specific filters to the report

Add a filter for "Ticketable Event equals [paste the name of your desired event]", and/or any other filters you'd like. Make sure to click "Save" when done!

Since this report's chart lives on the report itself and is not linked to a separate dashboard, there are no more configuration steps for this report. You're done!
