The Data Discovery Call: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1253752
During the early stages of your implementation, your Implementation Manager will conduct an initial Data Discovery call to review the data that you intend to migrate into PatronManager and to provide guidance as you begin to prepare your data for the transition.
Who's invited?
The Data Migration Contact that was designated on your Kickoff Call should be on this call, as well as anyone else at your organization that has a vested interest in the data that's migrated from your legacy system.
How long will this take?
This call typically lasts between 45-60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your legacy system.
What's on the agenda?
During this call, we'll use a sample of your data to drive the conversation around your organization's priorities when it comes to data maintenance and historical reporting. During the call, we'll cover:
- An overview of how data is structured in PatronManager
- An inventory and tour of your legacy data samples
- Guidance for the next steps of your data preparation
This meeting will be hosted over Zoom video conferencing and will include a screenshare slide presentation; a recording of the call will be made available after the meeting.
What should I prepare ahead of time?
In order to make the most of your time on the call, we will ask that you upload a sample export of specific types of data from your legacy system(s) to our secure, shared Google Drive folder at least 2 business days prior to the call. A raw, unedited export from your database will give us the best understanding of the level of difficulty and steps your team will need to take to prepare the data.
Please provide samples of the following:
- A sample of your patron list, such as a report that you might use for a mailing campaign.
- A sample of your donation history in a transactional, line-item format that displays both customer information and donation history (one donation per row)
- A sample of your ticketing history in a transactional, line-item format that displays both customer information and event information
- Any additional data points that you want to be sure are migrated from your current database
