There's a wealth of information about reporting in PatronManager, from basics of our pre-loaded reports to building your own custom reports - we realize that's a lot to ingest when you're just getting used to the system! This article distills all of that information down to the essentials of our standard reports to ensure that they will cover your team's basic needs when you start using PatronManager for ticket sales and donations.

Financial Reports

Financial Reports in PatronManager work a little different - and look a little different! - from other kinds of reports in the system. They summarize and categorize your transactions without all the usual patron data (name, phone number, etc.). For this reason, Financial Reports have their very own home, separate from standard Reporting and CRM Snapshots. You can dig deeper into Financial Reports in the All About Financial Reporting article; otherwise, here are the essential Financial Reports to be aware of:

Daily Sales Report

The Daily Sales Report is used for reporting on all box office transactions during a particular date range. This report is grouped by Payment Method and Event, and includes PatronTicket donations and all fees.

Sales Summary Report

The Sales Summary Report functions similarly to the Daily Sales Report, in that it's used for reporting on all box office transactions during a particular date range. However, this report allows you to choose to group the report by Event Instance, User, Order Origin, or Payment Method.

Performance Report

The Performance Report is a sales summary for one or more specific Event Instances. The Performance Report includes the count of full price, discounted, comped, subscription, and reservation tickets for the performance(s) chosen. Choose the Ticketable Event you're looking for and run the Performance Report from the list of Event Instances or from a particular Event Instance detail page.

Event Summary Report

The Event Summary Report is the fastest way to view sales totals for an entire Ticketable Event at once. This report is similar to the Performance Report, but shows net totals only, rather than displaying refunds or exchanges. This report is accessed from the Ticketable Event detail page.

Transaction Summary Report

The Transaction Summary Report is used to report on all transactions during a particular range. This report includes box office transactions and donations.

Donation Summary Report

The Donation Summary Report is used to report on - you guessed it - all Donation transactions during a particular date range. This report allows you to choose to group by Record Type, Fund, Donation Origin, or Campaign.
