Good for:

Organizations that want a faster way of entering or updating data in PatronManager, or want a different way to look at their data.

How it works:

Gridbuddy lets you create a new view of your data, showing multiple related objects in one place. You can also create new records or edit existing records from the grid view. Grids can both be accessed on their own tab, or even embedded on a page layout to show related lists in a more actionable way.

Create custom grids by walking through the Grid Wizard.

You can select the objects you want to work with, specify how your users will be able to manipulate the data displayed in the grid, and add fields and filters.

You can add report-like filters to grids, and then make edits to the data you've chosen to display.

In this case, we're adding a filter on the "Amount Donated In Last # Days" field in an existing grid that displays all Accounts. The grid will update to show only those Accounts who have made a donation in the last # days, and then we can update the Inclination to Give field, for example.

GridBuddy also makes it possible to enter new data quickly and efficiently.

For example, if you have a pile of donation checks to enter into PatronManager, you can create a Donation Entry grid that includes only the required and important fields.

This is especially useful if you are working with a lot of related custom objects.

You can also embed grids in a page layout as an alternative approach to related lists.
