By reporting on the Entry Ticket Type field on Ticket Order Items, you can do just that!
In this article, we'll cover:
Let's get down to business!
Entry Ticket Type Values
The Entry Ticket Type field on Ticket Order Items is great to tell what kind of ticket was used to check a patron in.
Here are the different Entry Ticket Types and what kind of ticket they correspond with:
- PMBO: This means the ticket was manually marked as Attended from the Ticket Order
- Apple Wallet: The ticket was scanned from a mobile ticket added to an Apple Wallet
- Google Wallet: The ticket was scanned from a mobile ticket added to a Google Wallet
- Online Ticket: The ticket was scanned from the online mobile ticket, but not from a digital wallet, including if the online ticket was printed
- Print at Home: The Print-at-Home ticket was scanned
- Point of Sale: The point of sale ticket, like a Boca ticket, was scanned
- Door List: The ticket was manually checked in from the list in the ticket scanning app
- Virtual Event: The ticket is for a virtual event and was "checked in" when the patron clicked the link to view the livestream or video-on-demand (VOD)
Reporting on Entry Ticket Types
You can report on Entry Ticket Types from any report type that looks at Ticket Order Items.
Here, we'll go through one example for building a report to look at Entry Ticket Types, but you can build your own custom reports too!
6. Add additional rows and row groupings, as desired
If you'd like to add more fields to the report as columns or row groupings, you can continue to do so in the Outline pane.
Some fields you might wish to add are:
- Item Detail - to see details like event and seating information for the tickets
- Ticketable Event - to see the Ticketable Event Name
- Event Instance Name - to see the Event Instance Name
- Contact - to see who the ticket holder is
7. In the Filters pane, adjust the default filters
Make sure the filters are set to:
- Show Me All ticket orders
- Cart Expiration All Time
8. Add a filter for Attended/Claimed
- Attended/Claimed equals True
Because only tickets that have been marked as Attended/Claimed will have an Entry Ticket Type, this is an important filter to have.
9. Add additional filters, as desired
If you'd like to add additional filters, you can continue to do so from the Filters pane.
Some filters you might wish to add are:
- Ticketable Event or Event Instance Name equals [EVENT NAME] - to see Entry Ticket Types by event
- Event Instance Date less than TODAY - to only see tickets to past events; since tickets to future events won't be checked in yet
11. Enter the report details
- Report Name: Give the report a name that makes sense based on the parameters you've set
- Report Unique Name: Automatically fills based on the Report Name
- Report Description: Give the report a detailed description to help your team
- Folder: Click "Select Folder" and choose PatronTicket Reports 3.0
- Save
