Good for:

Organizations who use Slack or want to use Slack for team collaboration and communication.

How it works:

Connecting Slack and PatronManager means that you can share details about a Contact, Account, or Donation with your team in your Slack workspace, and share messages between Slack and Chatter.

There are two ways to use Slack and PatronManager together:

You can use the Salesforce app from Slack's App Directory on its own, or you can use the Slack app from the Salesforce AppExchange alongside the Salesforce app from Slack's App Directory.

Click the links above to learn more and install one or both of these apps.

You can configure the Slack integration with a Custom Name and Icon

We're partial to a custom name like "PatronManager"

You might use Slack to collaborate with your colleagues and discuss patron cultivation.

The Slack for Salesforce integration lets you search for the patron's Account using the slash tag:

And show details from PatronManager right in Slack:

You can also use the integration to cross-post your communication between Chatter and Slack

Slack works with "slash commands", so if you start your Chatter post with the command /slack, it will post to Slack. If you start your Slack post with /chatter, it will post to Chatter. This is a great way to collaborate with colleagues who might not have their own PatronManager login because you can include some details from PatronManager in the conversation without giving full access to your CRM.
