How and When to Use List Emails: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1666036
List Emails give you the ability to email your Contacts directly without going through PatronChimp or Emma. While List Emails are not a replacement for your email marketing services, they are a great way to send simple, non-marketing messages to a small group of Contacts.
For example, want to email your Board Members about an upcoming meeting? Or need to quickly send a message to Contacts who RSVPed Yes to your Gala to let them know about a special update? Then List Emails are there for you.
In this article, we'll go over:
And at the end we'll have some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
When can I use List Emails?
You have a limit of 1,000 emails per day from PatronManager. Because of this limit, we recommend only using List Emails to send a message to a small group of Contacts.
Because of this 1,000 per day limit, List Emails should not be used for marketing campaigns.
To see if a List Email is right for your message, are all of the following statements true?
- This message is going out to fewer than 1,000 Contacts
- This is not a marketing message and is not connected to an event from your Event Inventory
- You plan to use an Email Template - either a Classic Email Template or a Lightning Email Template
- You can get a list of Contacts you want to send the message to via a Campaign or a field on the Contact level
If all of the statements above are true, then this message is a good candidate for a List Email.
How do I use List Emails?
1. Make sure your email template is ready
The first step to using List Emails is to make sure that your email template is set up. For List Emails, you can use either Classic Email Templates or Lightning Email Templates.
2. Create your Contact List View or Campaign
3. Click Send List Email from the List View or Campaign
If you don't have the action to Send List Email from a Contacts List View or a Campaign, it's most likely because your Profile doesn't allow you to do this. A user with the System Administrator Profile in your account will need to update your Profile to allow you to send List Emails.
The following PatronManager Profiles allow you to send List Emails:
- System Administrator
- Development
- Marketing Dept
- PatronManager
4. Craft and send your List Email
- From: Select from your Organization-Wide Email Addresses to select one to use as the sender email
- Insert, create, or update template: Click to find and select the email template you want to use
- Send
You've done it!
