How to Hide the Extra Campaigns Tab

If your account was created before June 2018 and you either use or used PatronChimp, you may find that you have two Campaigns tabs in your account.

This can be confusing, since the old Campaign tab for PatronChimp is superfluous.

In this article, we'll show you how to hide the extra Campaigns tab, if you have it.

This should take 5-20 minutes, depending on how many Profiles you need to update.

1. Go to Setup

2. Find and select Profiles

3. Go to the first Profile you use, usually Box Office Manager

4. Click Edit

No worries! Here are your alternate steps:

4.1. Click Object Settings

4.2. Click into Campaigns without the Object API Name "Campaign"

Click Campaigns

Make sure not to click the Campaigns with Object API Name "Campaign!" Doing so will impact your ability to use Campaigns for Fundraising and Marketing.

4.3. Click Edit

4.4. Change the Tab Settings to Tab Hidden

4.5. Save

4.6. Click Profiles to go back to the Profile list

4.7. Repeat these steps for any other Profiles you use

If you use our standard Profiles for PatronManager, those are:

  • Box Office Manager
  • Box Office User
  • Development
  • Marketing Dept
  • PatronManager
  • System Administrator

Check with your organization's PatronManager Admin to see if there are any custom Profiles you use!

5. Scroll down to Custom Tab Settings

You can use ctrl+F to find "Custom Tab Settings" on the page!

6. Change Campaigns to Tab Hidden

Make sure you're in the Custom Tab Settings!

7. Scroll back up and Save

8. Click Profiles to go back to the Profiles list

Click Profiles

9. Repeat steps 3-8 for any other Profiles you use

If you use our standard Profiles for PatronManager, those are:

  • Box Office Manager
  • Box Office User
  • Development
  • Marketing Dept
  • PatronManager
  • System Administrator

Check with your organization's PatronManager Admin to see if there are any custom Profiles you use!
