During an exchange, there will likely either be a balance to refund or a balance the patron owes for the new ticket(s). If a patron wants you to refund the difference to their STS gift card, or, alternatively, use their STS gift card to pay for the balance, you can!

How to Charge an STS card during an exchange
When a patron makes an exchange and there's an upcharge, they can use their gift card to pay the difference if it covers the full amount of the exchange.
2. When you get to the Select Payment Method page, select STS Gift Card
3. From here, you'll be able to charge a gift card
You'll have options to either:
- Charge an STS Gift Card on file using Select Card on File
- Charge an STS Gift Card by entering the Gift Card Number
Make sure to Submit Exchange to finish the process up!
Success! The tickets were exchanged, and you'll get a pop-up telling you the payment amount and gift card balance
How to Refund to an STS card during an exchange
When a patron exchanges a ticket for another ticket that costs less money, you can refund that amount to an STS gift card.
2. When you get to the Select Refund Method page, select STS Gift Card
3. From here, you'll be able to Select Gift Card for Refund
You'll be able to either:
- Select an existing STS Gift Card on file
- Select Issue New Gift Card
Don't forget to Submit Exchange!
Success! The tickets were exchanged and you'll get a pop-up letting you know the refund amount and balance on the STS Gift Card
