Sometimes you start taking payments on a Group Sale, then later find out that they need to cancel or will be bringing fewer people than expected. When this happens, you'll need to refund the Group Sale from the Group Sale Payment records and, if you've recorded payments on the Ticket Order, the order itself.

Refunding Group Sale Payments
Since you've been processing payments for your Group Sales as "child" payments on the Group Sale record, to actually refund the money to your patrons, you'll need to refund these Group Sale Payment records.
If you need to refund a Group Sale Payment, you'll refund the same way you would other Donation records.
Refunding the Ticket Order
Do I really need to refund the Ticket Order?
That depends on whether the order is still in Reservation status or has had payments applied to it. Select your situation below:
If you already received final payments for a Group Sale and closed out the related Ticket Order, you'll want to replicate the refunds on the Ticket Order. This will ensure that your Box Office reports match the actual money received for this order.
You can refund the Ticket Order Items on the order just like any other.
