In PatronManager, you and your colleagues likely visit certain reports and resources on a regular basis. Wouldn't it be super convenient to access links to the places you go most often right from the Home page? Well, you can! In this article, you'll learn how to add custom links to the PatronManager Home page.
Let's dive in!
1. Copy the URL of the page you want to link on your Home page
In this example, we want a custom link on the home page that goes to a report we use often. We'll copied the the URL up until the "?":
https://emilyvdhqaorg.lightning.force.com/lightning/r/Report/00O41000006zTRIEA2/viewPaste the URL into a word document for safe keeping - you'll use it in a later step.
2. Navigate to the Home tab
3. Click on the gear, and click on "Edit Page"
4. Use the search bar in the left panel to find the Rich Text component
5. Drag and drop the Rich Text Component on the right-most page column, directly above the Chatter Publisher
6. Type name of the page you'll link in the Rich Text Editor
In our example, we'll link to the Main Inventory Report, so we've typed "Main Inventory Report" into the Rich Text editor.
7. Highlight your text and click the hyperlink icon
8. Remember the URL you copied in the first step? Paste it into the hyperlink field, and click "Save"
9. Adjust the text size, color, and font as desired
10. Click "Save"
11. Click "Activate"
12. Click "Assign as Org Default"
This will add the link to the Home Page for you and for all of your colleagues, as well, and on any app (e.g. PMGR Ticketing)!
If that's not what you're going for, you can assign this new default to specific apps or specific profiles.
13. Then, click "Save"
14. Now, click "Back" to return to the Home page
Your custom link is on the Home page now!
