Whether you're looking for an Account, Contact, Donation, or Campaign, you can find it with the search bar!
1. The global search bar is located at the top of the home screen, right above your tabs
2. Typing something in the box and clicking the magnifying glass searches your entire PatronManager system
You'll also see suggested results show up below the search bar. If you see what you're looking for, you can click the result and jump right to that record.
If not, just click the top result (with the magnifying glass) to see all results.
3. Searching returns all kinds of results, including Activities (tasks, calls, and emails), Contacts, Accounts, Reports, Donations, Campaigns, and Documents
Click "Show More" to see more types of records related to your search.
4. To search your organization's Chatter history, just search the way you usually would, click "Show More", then click "Chatter"
This will take you to a list of Chatter posts that include your search term
5. If you only know part of the name of the record you're looking for, you can still search using an *
The asterisk works as a wildcard - searching for "John*", for example, will bring up any record starting with "John":
- An Account named John Williams
- A Contact named Howard Johnson
- A Donation from Johnson & Johnson
6. If you want to see specific record types with your search, use the drop-down menu next to the search bar to select the kinds of records you want to see
