How to Log Emails in PatronManager: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1578908
There are two ways to log emails to your patrons in PatronManager: emailing from PatronManager, and using Email to Salesforce from your own email service provider.
In this article, we'll show you how to log emails using both of these methods! Specifically, we'll go over:
- How to email from PatronManager
- How to set up Email to Salesforce
- How to use Email to Salesforce
Let's get started!
Emailing from PatronManager
The simplest way to log emails in PatronManager is to send the emails from within PatronManager in the first place!
3. Fill in the Subject and Body of the email
You can manually fill in the Subject and Body of the email to write a custom email to the patron
Or you can select an email template to use instead!
Setting up Email to Salesforce
You probably have an email service provider that you like, such as Outlook, Gmail, iCloud Mail, or Yahoo! Mail. You can send emails from that client and still log them in PatronManager with just a few extra steps.
1. Click your Profile image and click Settings
Using Email to Salesforce
Once you've set up Email to Salesforce, you'll be able to use it!
To use Email to Salesforce, send an email as you normally would using your email service provider, like Gmail or Outlook, and paste your Email to Salesforce Address in the BCC field.
To more easily use Email to Salesforce in the future, save your Email to Salesforce Address as a contact in your email system!
If you sent the email to someone with a Contact record in PatronManager, your email will be automatically logged in the Contact record's Activities Timeline.
If you BCCed your Email to Salesforce Address on an email to someone without a Contact record in PatronManager, you'll receive a task to add the Contact record and connect the email.
