How To Reset a PatronManager User's Password

If a user at your organization forgets their password, there are two options:

  1. They can reset it themselves using the "Forgot Your Password?" link
  2. Or you can reset it for them from their user page in Setup

Let's take a look at both options!

If a user is having trouble resetting their own password, try resetting it for them.

If a user at your organization forgets their password, they can reset it themselves by clicking a link on the PatronManager login page.

1.2. Enter username and click "Continue"

1.3. Look for the password reset email from Salesforce/PatronManager

It will go to the user's email address, and will include a link to finish resetting the password. It will look something like this:

2. Resetting a user's password from Setup

If the user isn't able to reset their own password, another user with administrative privileges can do it for them from inside PatronManager. Here's how:

2.1. In PatronManager, head to Setup

Log in to your PatronManager account, click on the gear in the upper right-hand corner of your screen and go to "Setup".

2.2. Search for and click on "Users"

2.3. Click the name of the user whose password you want to reset

2.4. Click "Reset Password"

2.5. Unfreeze the user if needed

If the user tried to login unsuccessfully several times, their account may be frozen. You'll know this is the case if you see a button that says "Unfreeze" (normally this button will say "Freeze"). If you see an "Unfreeze" button, click it:

2.6. Tell the user to look for the password reset email from Salesforce/PatronManager

It will go to the user's email address, and will include a link to finish resetting the password. It will look something like this:
