This article will teach you how to create new Contacts with, or without, existing Account records in PatronManager.

1. Search for the patron
Once you're sure the person you're looking for isn't already in the system, great! You can create a record for the patron.
Start by creating a new Contact - that will automatically create an Account to go with it.

3. Choose a record type and click "Next"
Use "Other Contact" if you will be creating an Organization or Foundation Account, and "Patron Contact" if you will be creating a Household or Individual Account.
For the purposes of this example, we'll choose "Patron Contact".
It's possible your organization has additional custom Contact record types set up - ask your coworkers for advice if you see options besides Patron Contact and Other Contact.
3. Choose a record type and click "Next"
Use "Other Contact" if you'll create an Organization or Foundation Account and "Patron Contact" if you'll create a Household or Individual Account. For the purposes of this example, we'll choose "Patron Contact".
