Your public ticketing site (PTS) gives your organization the power to design, update, and manage your online ticketing experience. With modern mobile responsive design, themed templates, and a "do it yourself" builder, your PTS has never looked better or been easier to manage.

In this article, we'll show you what's possible with your PTS:

What does it look like?

Designed to bring your patrons a user-focused experience, the PTS is clear and clean - from browsing to events to checkout, on desktop or on mobile. Best of all, you can customize the look and feel of your site to suit your organization's needs.

Use thumbnails and copy to promote your events; use themes to customize the look and feel of your site.

Navigation is clear through the entire checkout process.

Can I change what it looks like?

You sure can, and in two big ways: with themes and with view options.

Themes

Control the look and feel of your website with themes! A theme provides a framework for your ticketing website, dictating brand color placement, background colors, and header styles. Themes look great right out of the box - or with additional customization.

View options

Whether you have a small repertoire or many events, the PTS displays your events clearly. List your events with Condensed or Expanded view, and use the Calendar view to showcase your events through the whole month.

Check out this events page for our Loud Sounds! organization - it's in Expanded view, and has the option to toggle to Calendar view:

Can I sell subscriptions and memberships?

Sure can! They're sold through their own landing pages, accessible via these clear links at the top of your PTS:

Each landing page displays available packages similarly to the single tickets landing page:

Best of all, your patrons can add single tickets, subscriptions, and memberships to their cart in any combination before checking out.

What if I don't want to sell subscriptions or memberships on my PTS?

That's fine too - you can configure your PTS to hide those links, or have them direct to your organization's own website.

What's the ticket-buying experience like for my patrons?

Smooth and clear - the Public Ticketing Site features a navigation bar during the checkout process so your patrons don't feel lost:

What about donation suggestions?

There are two paths to donation suggestions: a separate donation page, or an in-line donation.

Option 1: A separate donation page

This is a great place to promote a particular fundraising drive or showcase the great work your organization does. Images, text, audio, and video can all be included! We recommend using this option if possible.

Option 2: An in-line donation suggestion

Your patrons see this while entering the contact information.

Learn how to use either option in our Suggested Donations article.

Can I use Analytics to track what's happening on my site?

You bet! We have hard-coded integrations for Google Analytics and Facebook tracking, which ensures your PTS is secure and your data is reliable.

How does PatronPortal work with the PTS?

Patrons can still log in, get exclusive deals, renew subsciptions and/or benefits, and make donations.

How does it look on mobile?

We designed the PTS with mobile transactions in mind. Each screen is mobile responsive, meaning the design components will stack vertically to fit within a small phone or tablet screen.

Some of my patrons are disabled; what about accessibility?

Web accessibility - ensuring there are no interaction barriers for people with disabilities - is important to us. When designing the latest Public Ticketing Site themes, we followed the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to make sure all of your patrons can easily purchase tickets on your website.

This looks great! Where should I go to customize my PTS?

If you need to make some updates to your PTS, check out our Maintaining Your PTS article for an auditing checklist, and to take advantage of all the new features!
