If you need to create a Discount Code that's similar to an already existing Discount Code, you can clone the existing Discount Code to save time!
This article will show you how to clone a Discount Code along with its associated Price Levels and associated Benefit Levels.
1. Click on the App Launcher
2. Search for and click on Discount Codes
3. Click on the Discount Code you'd like to clone
The 10% off Discount Code has the price levels and benefit level associations we want to apply to our new 25% off Code. We'll clone it and repurpose it for our 25% off Spring Equinox weekend sale.
4. Click "Clone"
5. Give your newly-cloned Discount Code a name and a code
- New Discount Code Name: This is an internal name, which only you and your colleagues will see
- New Code: This is the code you'll distribute to eligible patrons
When should I check "Include Price Levels"?
We recommend including price levels if the resulting Discount Code will be used during the same season as the cloned Discount Code, and you want it to be used on the same price levels.
We don't recommend including price levels if the resulting Discount Code and cloned Discount Codes being used in different seasons, or if you don't want them to affect the same price levels.
6. Check any boxes you'd like to copy from the original Discount Code to the cloned Discount Code
- Include Benefit Level Associations: Check this box if you want to copy the Benefit Level Associations from the original Discount Code to the new Discount Code
- Include Price Level Associations: Check this box if you want to copy the Price Level Associations from the original Discount Code to the new Discount Code
- Make Active: Check this box if you want the cloned Discount Code to be immediately available. If you're not quite ready to use it, you can activate the cloned Discount Code later
7. Click "Clone"
8. Finish editing the new Discount Code and click "Save"
You've cloned the Discount Code along with the associated price levels and benefit levels!
