Uploading and Using Images with the Documents Tab: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1389374

Often, to use images in patron-facing places, you'll need to upload those images to the Documents tab. Most prominently, you'll utilize the Documents tab for:

  • Badge images
  • Various spots on the Public Ticketing Site

No matter where you're using the image, the process is always the same. It's pretty quick, so let's jump in.

1. Click your profile picture, then click Switch to Salesforce Classic

2. Whoa, we're back in the early 2000s! Click the + sign (All Tabs)

3. Scroll down and click Documents

4. Click New

5. Fill out the screen like so and click Choose File

  1. Document Name: give it a descriptive name you'll recognize later
  2. Indicate Document is Internal: unchecked
  3. Externally Available Image: checked
  4. Folder: Shared Documents
  5. Description: this is internal only, so just something you'll recognize
  6. Click Choose File

6. Find the image on your computer and upload it

You probably got to this article from somewhere else in the Help Tab, and that article probably gave you a recommendation for file size and format. Now is a good time to check that your image fits those recommendations!

7. With your image uploaded, click Save

8. Now right click the image and click Copy Image Address

9. Paste this into a text editor - you'll need it in a second

We like to use Notepad, but other text editors work - you could even open the link in a new tab in your web browser.

We do not recommend you paste this link into something like Microsoft Word; often those kinds of programs will mess with special characters in a bad way.

10. Switch back to Lightning

11. If you're using the image in a field, go to that field and click the little tree

Refer to the article you came from to see how to get to that field!

12. Fill in the URL with the image address you just copied, give the image a name, and click Insert

13. You'll see the image in the field!
