All About Non-Timed Tickets: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/1989969
Do you create events that are all-day or partial-day admission, like for gallery or museum entry or parking passes? If so, then tickets for non-timed admission, or Non-Timed Tickets are perfect for you!
In this article, we'll show you:
- What Non-Timed Tickets mean
- How to mark Event Instances for Non-Timed Tickets
- Tips for building events with Non-Timed Tickets
At the end, we'll have some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Let's get started!
What are Non-Timed Tickets?
Non-Timed Tickets allow you to sell all-day or partial-day admission and use mobile tickets for these events!
Essentially, Non-Timed Tickets are for events where there is a date, but there isn't a specific start time to your event.
Non-Timed Mobile Tickets
When Non-Timed Tickets are turned on for an Event Instance, the mobile tickets for that Instance will only include a date--no time will be shown.

Additionally, for mobile Non-Timed Tickets:
- The mobile ticket will appear on the lock screen starting on the Instance Date, ignoring the time
- It will also expire when the Instance Date passes
- Instead of a "Section" label, the mobile ticket will have a "Type" label
- The Ticket Allocation Name will be used for the "Type;" in the example above, the Ticket Allocation Name is "Afternoon Admission"
- The Non-timed Label and Name from the Event Instance do not appear on mobile Non-Timed Tickets
Non-Timed Tickets on the Public Ticketing Site
On the Public Ticketing Site (PTS) when using Date/Time View on your Ticketable Event, Non-Timed Tickets will show up with the Non-timed Label from the Event Instance instead of a specific timeslot to select.
If you don't define a Non-timed label, they'll show as "Admission."
How can I mark Event Instances for Non-Timed Tickets?
To note that an Event Instance should use Non-Timed Tickets, just check the Non-timed checkbox!
If you're using the Date/Time Event Instance Display for your Ticketable Event, you can optionally add a Non-timed Label to the Event Instance to replace "Admission" on the PTS.
The Non-timed label is only used in Date/Time View, so you won't be able to edit this field if your Ticketable Event is set to List view.
Got any tips for events with Non-Timed Tickets?
You bet we do!
Make sure to set the Event Instance Display to "Date/Time" to use the Non-timed Label
If you want to be able to use the Non-timed Label, make sure the Event Instance Display on the Ticketable Event is set to "Date/Time".
The Non-timed Label doesn't appear in List view, which is why isn't not customizable in that case.
Make sure the Event Instance Name is clear
Because the Event Instance Name will appear when selling tickets in PatronManager Box Office (PMBO) and on the Public Ticketing Site, make sure that the Event Instance Name is still clear with the date and timeframe for the event. This will ensure that your staff knows this is an all-day or partial-day event when selling tickets internally, and will avoid any buyer confusion (particularly if you're using List view).
Name your Ticket Allocations clearly
Because Ticket Allocations appear on your patrons' mobile tickets (and the Non-timed Label will not), we recommend naming these clearly.
For example, if you're doing morning or afternoon admission we recommend using "Morning Admission" and "Afternoon Admission" as your Ticket Allocation Names to communicate this to your patrons.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
No. Because dates are still required for Non-Timed Tickets, this will not work for multi-day passes.
We recommend using Non-Timed Tickets for all-day admission or partial-day admission, like morning and afternoon entry.
The Non-timed Label has a limit of 30 characters. If you try to enter any characters beyond 30, the Non-timed Label won't accept any more and will cut off after the 30th character.
