Other Changes in This Release (June 2013): https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/119488

This article is old!  Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?

There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer.  For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above.  If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused the "How did you hear about us?" field (Order Source) to sometimes be hidden on the Public Ticket Site.
  • Fixed a bug that set date-based batch printing in GMT instead of the local time zone.
  • Corrected the labels in Organization Settings to clarify that different e-mail acknowledgment templates can be used for Back Office Donations and Online Donations.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed patrons to skip the CVV code on online donation forms in some cases.
  • Rewrote a few error messages on the Public Ticket Site so that they're in English instead of Computer-ese.
  • Added better support for Donation Chargebacks.
  • Added clarification text to the Sales Overview Report settings page.
  • Fixed a Sales Overview Report bug that added a hidden timestamp to the date parameters.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some single ticket orders to have an "Awaiting Fulfillment" Subscription Status.

Portal Fixes

  • Allow donations to be added during checkout when renewing a subscription online.
  • Removed potentially-confusing Delivery Method label from displaying on Pending Renewal subscription orders.
  • If a user has a Pending Renewal subscription order, we now always direct them to that tab upon logging in.
  • Other small changes to text on the Pending Renewal screen.

New Features in Salesforce's Summer '13 Release

Our June release of PatronManager happens to coincide with Salesforce's Summer '13 release! You'll see some new and very cool things in your account as a result. Salesforce's release notes are 276 pages long... so here are just a few highlights (but if you're interested and have some time on your hands, you can read the whole thing here).

  • Chatter Topics: Now there's a new enhanced version of hashtags! If you've been using Chatter and hashtagging your posts, you'll see them automatically transformed into Topics instead. Topics are more searchable and more reportable than hashtags were, so this is pretty neat.
  • Sticky Dashboard Filters: Though that may sound a little gross, it's really a good thing! If you've set filter options on any of your dashboards (and we can think of at least a few clients who have), the dashboard will always filter data based on the last choice you made, even when you navigate away and come back later.
  • Admin Settings: No longer hidden under your name! To get to the admin settings screen, you'll click on a link that just says "Setup" in the top right corner of your screen, instead of having to click on your name and choose it in the dropdown menu. For more information about these changes, check out this helpful blog post. (Since we're administrators of almost 400 client accounts, this is maybe *our* favorite new feature ever.)
