Ticket Order Changes: Fee Options: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/25580
This article is old! Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?
There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer. For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above. If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.
1. Per-ticket Fees
We distinguish between "PatronTech Fees" and "Buyer Fees." PatronTech fees are the per-ticket fees that Patron Technology collects, as per the fee schedule in your contract with us. Buyer Fees are the per-ticket fees you charge to your patrons.
Until now, those fees have mostly been one and the same. Now, you can choose to set your own Buyer Fee schedule and choose how much of the PatronTech fees you want to pass on to your patrons. $0? $5? It's up to you.
What do you need to do?
- If you don't want to change anything: do nothing!
- If you do want to change your default Buyer Fees across the board, contact us and we'll show you how.
- If you want to change Buyer Fees only for certain performances or allocations, just change the fees in your Event Inventory for that performance:
2. Waive Item Fees
This checkbox used to be called "Walk-up Order" but we've changed the label to be clearer. If for any particular order you want to waive the per-ticket fees, but still charge the patron's credit card, use this box. (Note that PatronTech fees will not be waived if you choose this option!)
3. Per-order Fees
You can configure a per-order fee -- for example, a handling fee or service fee -- to be charged to patrons on all orders (1).
You can also choose to override that Order Fee on any QOF (quick order form) orders -- charge more, charge less, charge nothing at all.
