With the March 2021 release, all aspects of the box office now share the same design, making it easier to learn and more intuitive to use.
In this release you'll also find some long-requested flexibility improvements for subscriptions, which will continue to improve with packages sold following the release.
First and foremost, we want to make sure you and your team are ready to use the new PatronManager Box Office. While we're still working on updating articles here in the Help Tab, please watch our updated video tutorials about exchanging tickets and selling/fulfilling subscriptions:

Q: This design looks like Lightning. Will it look like this even if I'm still using Salesforce Classic?
A: Yes, PatronManager Box Office looks and functions the same in both Lightning and Classic. That said, if you haven't yet switched to Lightning, there's no time like the present! Check out this article to get started.

Exchanges
Exchanges are now more user-friendly, and allow better flexibility for exchanging fulfillment items that span multiple subscription packages.
- You'll see the price and seats of the original tickets during an exchange while you're choosing new seats.
- Impact: No more referencing back to the original order to see where the buyer sat or the price they paid at the time.
- You can now exchange fulfillment items from multiple subscription packages at the same time
- Impact: Exchange subscription tickets for couples quickly, and handle complex exchanges with more than one type of subscription easily.
- A new helper button can quickly select all tickets to a given show when exchanging across subscriptions.
- Impact: Easily exchange everyone's ticket to Hamlet, all at the same time - no matter how many subscription packages are on the order.
- By default, you'll only see subscription prices when exchanging fulfillment items (though you can always click "all price levels" and move a subscriber to a show that's not usually a subscription option).
- Impact: Most exchanges are from one Subscription Price Level to another anyway, so this will help make exchanges faster; plus, your subscription reporting will be cleaner.
View original items while selecting new ones
Single-ticket exchanges include the original item details on-screen while choosing new items, making it easier to select comparable seats and pricing:

Subscription fulfillment item exchanges are more flexible, allowing you to exchange items belonging to different packages in the same transaction:
Subscription Sales & Fulfillment
In addition to a new look, handling subscriptions is more flexible than ever, particularly when it comes to fulfilling Pick Later packages.
- You'll now view seating requests and notes while selecting seats, as well as order comments and internal fulfillment notes
- Impact: No more double-checking notes in multiple places before you fulfill - it's all right in front of you.
- Clearer in-app instructions for managing subscriber seat preferences.
- Impact: Seat preferences will be better maintained by your entire staff, making renewal far easier and more accurate.
- Mix and match vouchers across Pick Later packages (for new subscriptions sold after the release).
- Impact: Pick Later vouchers are much more flexible.
- Fulfill tickets for two different price levels simultaneously (as long as you're fulfilling the same kind of subscription, e.g. "First Fridays")
- Impact: Seat both an Adult and Student, or an Adult and Senior, at the same time instead of in two passes.
- A pop-up warning to prevent incorrectly marking a subscription as fulfilled.
- Impact: You and your team will only mark an unfulfilled subscription as fulfilled when you really mean to!
- When might you really mean to? If a Pick Later subscriber has moved and is not going to use their last vouchers, for example.
A consistent interface for selling subscriptions
Subscription sales maintain the same overall appearance as other kinds of ticket sales:

New badges make it easier to see at a glance which packages are fulfilled and which aren't done yet. When it's time to fulfill, all similar packages can now be handled at the same time:
Updated fulfillment landing page
A revamped fulfillment landing page includes just the information you need to seat the patron, including any buyer comments and internal fulfillment notes. The system groups similar packages together to allow simultaneous seating (e.g. Adult and Student packages at the same time):
Intuitive steps to complete fulfillment
A new look for the fulfillment process walks you through selecting seats for the underlying shows. Buyer comments and internal fulfillment notes remain visible on the screen for reserved seating:
Membership Sales
New year, new look! Membership sales now match the feel of single ticket sales, staying in the same familiar design.
What's not included in these updates?
Underlying functionality mostly remains the same (for this release)
Most of the changes here do not involve underlying functionality -- fees, discounts, refunds, etc. still work the way they did before. If we haven't specifically mentioned a change above, it's probably not part of this release.
That said, the updates in this release will allow us to make other frequent requests possible in future. As always, if you have ideas for what you'd like to see in PatronManager, submit a Product Idea and let us know what would be helpful for you and why.
Previously-sold subscriptions will look/work differently during fulfillment
Any subscriptions sold before the upgrade (but not fulfilled until after the upgrade) will differ in two key ways:
Why?
Good question. This new flexibility is possible because of one key upgrade: newly-sold subscription packages all exist independently. Even when two subscriptions are sold to a couple, each subscription package can be fulfilled/seated separately.
Previously-sold subscriptions are not structured this way. Instead, when a couple bought two subscription packages before the release, those two packages exist in PatronManager as a paired unit, and must be handled together.
Think of it like ice cream:
Two subscriptions sold before the release:
Two people sharing this ice cream cone are going to have to stick pretty close together!
Two subscriptions sold after the release:
The two people with these ice cream cones can enjoy them together if they want, but they don't have to!
