How to Process an Order (December 2015): https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/467447
This article is old! Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?
There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer. For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above. If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.
Complete ticket orders in three easy steps.
1. Choose an Event
Choose an event from the ones that are occurring that day. The touch-friendly buttons make it faster than ever to select the correct performance.
2. Choose Seats
For General Admission performances, this step has never been easier! Use the “Quick Add” feature to add up to 6 tickets in a single tap or click. If you need to add more than 6 at once, use the custom quantity box below.
For reserved seating performances, use the buttons on the left to toggle between sections of your venue. Use the zoom buttons in the lower right corner to make seats larger and easier to tap.
The seats you select will be added to a "cart" at the top of the screen -- tap or click the plus sign to expand the cart and change price levels when you're done choosing seats.
Once you've selected the correct number of seats, choose your price. Price levels appear as buttons if you have four or fewer price levels, making it faster than ever to choose the correct price level for each item (and they still appear as a dropdown if you have more than four).
Choose your price levels and apply any discounts, then tap or click "Checkout" to proceed.
3. Collect contact and payment information and submit
If you're really in a rush and the patron is paying by cash, click "Submit Order" immediately, and the order will process as an anonymous cash order.
Or, swipe a credit card to capture the patron's first name, last name, and credit card information. You don’t even need to change the payment method - just swipe as soon as you land on this page.
Use the contact lookup to see if the patron already has a Contact record in PatronManager.
And here's some more good news: the address fields appear on the screen no matter what the payment method, so you'll be able to collect zip codes (and/or full addresses) on every order if you have time.
