CRM Snapshots have more filters (April 2015): https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/325305

This article is old!  Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?

There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer.  For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above.  If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.

Now all CRM Snapshots have a new way for you to tailor your results based on how you plan to use the data.

You'll see a series of optional filters that you can apply to the query to customize your results even more finely.

Now all CRM Snapshots have a new way for you to tailor your results based on how you plan to use the data.

Account Type filter

The Account Type filter is great for organizations that have a lot of third party ticket sales, large group sales, or anonymous walk up sales. Using this filter lets you exclude certain types of accounts from your query, since you're probably not trying to market to them in the same context as your regular ticket buyers.

Account Type filter

In order to use this filter effectively, you'll need to identify the Accounts that are associated with those ticket sales and update the Type field on those Accounts appropriately.

You'll probably need to customize the Account Type field with picklist values that are appropriate, and add it to your Account page layouts. If you need help setting up the Account Type field or updating your data once you've done that, contact the PatronManager Client Administration team by clicking the red "Submit a Support Request" button in the PatronManager Help tab.

If you run a CRM Snapshot and get the error "Too many query rows" try utilizing the Account Type field and filter to exclude some outlying Accounts.

Email or Mailing Address filters

The second new filter option saves you the step of further customizing the results report after the snapshot is complete.

If you know that you are going to use the results of a snapshot to send an email campaign, select the first two options and your results will only include patrons with an email address who have opted-in to receive marketing messages.

If you know that you are going to use the results of the snapshot to do a physical mailing, select the "Complete Mailing Address" option and your results will only include patrons with a complete mailing address.
