This article is old!  Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?

There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer.  For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above.  If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.

Multiple Signup Forms

You can now have multiple email signup forms! This can be helpful if you have several different mailing lists that would require different signup forms or if you want to use signup forms for special one-off events such as drawings or contests.

To create a new form, navigate to the PatronSignup Setup tab and click the "New" button. If you'd like the look and feel of this form to be different from your existing form, please contact us and we'll help create a new stylesheet for the new form.

Multiple Signup Forms

From Email Address

Each form can have its own "From Email Address". These need to be set up as org-wide email addresses just like your from email address on Ticket Orders.

Signup Form Lookup Field

If someone gets into your database via one of your signup forms, we'll log which form he used right on the Contact record itself, in the "Signup Form" lookup field.

Donation Form Management

We've always allowed you to have multiple online donation forms, and now there's a new tab that allows you to create and manage those forms yourself -- it's called "Donation Forms"! You can modify the fields that are displayed on your existing forms or create a new form for an upcoming fundraising campaign. Of course, we're still here to help, so please contact us if you get stuck or need help changing the overall look and feel of your forms.

Donation Form Management

Matching Donation Improvements

We've made several changes to the handling of matching donations. You'll notice a new Matching Gifts related list on every regular donation record, because every gift can potentially have a match:

Matching Donation Improvements

We've also moved and changed a few fields to make Matching Donations clearer and easier to use.

There's a formula field that calculates the amount of the matching gift based on the matching percentage and the amount of the donation it matches. We also added a "Total Amount" field, which calculates the total of the donation and its matching gift together (in case you want to acknowledge the donor for that full amount). Finally, we removed the confusing "Donor" field and added a field that will automatically display a link to the Contact record of the Donor on the original (matched) donation:

Recurring Donation Improvement

We've added a new acknowledgment option when you're submitting a new recurring donation. Prior to this release, checking the option to acknowledge via email automatically assumed that you wanted to send a thank you email for every installment. Now you're able to choose how you want to handle today's donation vs. future installments separately. If you check the "Send automatic thank you emails" box, you'll automatically send the acknowledgment email template to that patron each time a new installment is processed:
