We are pleased to announce Version 1 of our new Gift Certificate functionality. You can now offer your patrons a way to purchase gift cards (physical cards or virtual/digital ones) and easily send those cards to their friends. The cards can be redeemed when patrons buy tickets at the box office or by phone.
For a quick overview of the Gift Certificates program, check out the video below. Read on for more details.
We have selected a leading gift card company, Smart Transaction Systems, to be our partner.
Smart Transaction Systems (STS) has been in the gift card business for almost 20 years, and they have successfully partnered with other theaters and ticketing systems in the past to provide gift card services.
STS provides a patron-facing website where patrons can purchase gift cards.
You can embed this site directly in your organization's website.
To redeem these cards, STS provides an online "WebTerminal" login for your box office staff.
This tool allows your box office staff to activate new gift cards, redeem gift cards, perform balance checks, and run simple reports.
In Version 1, PatronManager and STS work together from a process perspective, and in a future release, gift card data will actually sync and pass between the two systems.
We have thorough training and documentation in the PatronManager Help tab to guide you along the way.
We are pleased with our partnership with Smart Transaction Systems, and we think you will be too!
