Better Subscription Renewal Handling (May 2015): https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/348085
This article is old! Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?
There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer. For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above. If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.
Easily Review and Correct Renewal Issues
The subscription renewal tool is designed to automatically create new orders for all of last year's subscribers and fulfill them with the right seats. But inevitably, there will be exceptions and unusual situations that get in the way of that instant magic.
Now you'll be better able to easily find and correct orders that the tool couldn't automatically fulfill for one reason or another. The renewal tool groups unfulfilled orders by "reason" so that you can quickly find all of the affected orders and fix them.
Use the "Show" link in the Details column to see the actual error message for each subscription item.
Better Handling of Venue Modifications Between Seasons
If you decide to change the way seats are allocated in your venue between seasons (because seats have physically moved around or because you've rescaled the house), PatronManager is now equipped to handle these changes during subscription renewal. At the time that you set up your renewal mappings, you'll be asked to map your old venue to the current one.
PatronManager will know which seats map to each other, and attempt to seat the patron in the same seat even if it's allocated differently in the new version of the venue map.
