More Support for Reservation Orders (August 2015): https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/413360
This article is old! Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?
There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer. For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above. If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.
We've added some new features to make Reservations more accessible and more easily managed.
Reporting on Reservations
We've extended the "Receivables" definition on the Performance Report and Event Summary Report to also include Reservation orders. Now, when you click the "Include Receivables" button on either report, you'll see totals that reflect money due from both Partially Paid and Reservation orders.
These reports will help to give you a better idea of the outstanding funds that are due to your organization.
Printing Reserved Tickets
You can now print reserved tickets straight from the Ticket Order, not just the Batch Printing module! You'll also be able to see the printed status of each ticket, just like you can on a completed order.
If you print all of the tickets on a Reservation, and later add more tickets to the order, you'll be able to print just those tickets that you've added using the "Print Unprinted Tickets" button.
Among other uses, you can use this feature to print hard tickets in advance, in the case of occasions when you don't have access to a computer.
Send Emails and Create Tasks on Reservations
With the introduction of the Open Activities and Activity History related lists onto Reservation orders, you'll be able to send emails and create tasks directly on the order. Now you'll be able to communicate with your customers as well as with your co-workers on all kinds of orders.
Next up...Improvements to Group Sales!
All of the features mentioned so far in the release notes are available to all clients, and we're so excited for you to start using them right away.
For organizations that need full "Group Sales" functionality, we're also releasing a more sophisticated process, allowing you to process deposits and partial payments while still being able to make modifications to the tickets on the order. This is an “on demand” feature, which means we’ll enable this in your account for free on request.
