This article is old!  Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?

There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer.  For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above.  If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.

In this release we're making improvements to CRM Snapshots that are among the most commonly used, and that you have asked us to improve.

New features for four of the most commonly used CRM Snapshots

We've heard from a lot of clients that it can be difficult to choose the exact criteria that you need, so we've improved the selection process. The next time you run one of our Event Instance-based CRM Snapshots you'll notice that things will be easier.

The specific CRM Snapshots that are improved by these changes are those named below

  1. "Find patrons who haven’t bought tickets to specific Event Instances"
  2. "Find patrons who have purchased tickets to some Event Instances, but not others"
  3. "Find patrons who have purchased tickets to some Event Instances, but not others within a timeframe"
  4. "Find ticket buyers to specific Event Instances who have also donated"

1. Find your Event Instances faster

If you've been using PatronManager for a while, or if you just have a lot of Event Instances, finding the Event Instances you want to use in your CRM Snapshot filters could be a daunting task.

Find your Event Instances faster

In this release we're making it easier and quicker to select the Event Instances you want by first selecting the Ticketable Event. Then you'll see a list of the instances for that event to the right.

When you first choose your event, we've pre-selected all the Event Instances for that Ticketable Event for you, so if you want to include them all in your criteria, you just have to click the "Add Selected" button.

2. Run CRM Snapshots on inactive Events

If you want to run CRM Snapshots on Ticketable Events even though they're marked as inactive in the Event Inventory tab, now you can. You can still display just the active Events, or you can switch to view both active and inactive Events.

3. Make changes to criteria before running the snapshot

You'll be able to preview your filter selections before you run your snapshot, and if you need to make any changes, you can remove criteria, event by event.

4. Event Instance parameters are listed by name, not ID

After you've run your snapshots, the parameters that you've selected appear in easier to read format -- we now list them by Event name and then Event Instance Name rather than by Event Instance ID.
