Our Product Development Team hosted a live webinar on May 16, 2019 all about the new release. Watch the video and check out the details about the release below.

Public Ticketing Site Updates

We launched the new public ticketing site (PTS) in February. With this second release, we've included additional features familiar to users of the legacy PTS.

If you have already launched the new public ticketing site, you may notice a new navigational element on the page for Memberships. If you use PatronPortal, you will also see the option for patrons to log in.

Click here for all the updates to the new Public Ticketing Site:

1. Landing Page Content and Header Link Behavior

The new public ticketing site includes three separate landing pages, one each for Subscriptions, Memberships, and Events. You can now customize the landing page content and header link behavior for each section independently! Each section has two dedicated fields in PatronTicket Settings; one for the header link behavior, and one for the landing content (the information/image that appears on the right side of each landing page).

The header links have three options. You can decide if the links:

  • Land on that section of your public ticketing site (default behavior).
  • Send your patrons to a different URL. For example, you might send the "Memberships" header link to the "Memberships" page on your own website.
  • Don't appear at all. For example, if your organization does not sell Memberships, you might prefer to turn off that header link.

2. Portal Integration

PatronPortal is the online account system for PatronManager, allowing your patrons to log in to your ticketing site. Your patrons will experience the same Portal functionality they are used to with the legacy public ticketing site, but with a new user-friendly design!

3. Membership Purchase Path

The new public ticketing site also now supports Memberships! As mentioned above, you'll be able to customize where the header link goes, or remove it entirely if your organization doesn't sell Memberships.

4. Footer Design

In order to showcase your Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and organization information, we have designed a new footer for use on the new public ticketing site. If you're registered with Trustwave, you can add your secure seal here as well. The footer information can be managed in PatronTicket Settings.

5. Skip the Section Map

You asked and we have answered!

You'll now have the option option to skip the section map for pick-your-own seat venues on the new public ticketing site. This option is available when there is a single section or section group, and can be managed on the Venue configuration page. The section map is shown by default, so in order to remove it, select the checkbox for "Skip section selection".

6. Confirmation Screen Update for Email Delivery Method

If a patron selects "email" as their delivery method, the order confirmation page will let the patron know to expect a confirmation email.

7. Show Required Fields

When completing a Ticket Order on the new public ticketing site, required fields are now clearly labeled in the cart.

Other Updates

In every release we include several smaller features and bug fixes in order to improve your experience with PatronManager. We've outlined these additional updates below.

1. Subscription Mail Merge fields to include fee data

When reporting on Subscription Seat Info for mail merges, any buyer fees you charge your patrons are now included in the field.

Learn more about the field in our Help tab!

2. STS Integration Improvements

When refunding to a gift card in PatronManager, the patron's contact info is now passed over to STS, and is searchable in WebTerminal.

Additionally, complete STS gift card numbers are now visible on the Stored Payment Method inside PatronManager.

Learn more about STS gift cards.

3. New Options for Qualifying Contacts using the Ticket Order Import Tool

We've made improvements to the Ticket Order Import Tool to give you additional ways to find matching Contacts, and additional options for how to handle qualification. You can now include columns in your report for the Salesforce Contact ID and the External ID, and the system will attempt to match based on those fields first, and fall back to matching based on email address (as before).

You will also now have an option to create qualified Ticket Orders and Contacts when no matching Contact is found. This allows you to skip the qualification process for those Orders, though it will likely result in a higher number of duplicate Contacts since the tool does not match on all possible fields.

4. Enhanced Donation Form radio picklists sort in descending order

When adding a radio picklist to an Enhanced Donation Form, the picklist values were previously sorted in ascending order. We have updated this to sort by descending.

Click here to review some notable bug fixes:

1. Venue extraction errors

Several organizations experienced an error message when extracting a venue for the new public ticketing site following our February release. This error has been fixed and venue extraction should work as expected.

2. Embedded Video on the new Public Ticketing Site

We resolved an issue that prevented embedded video from displaying on the new public ticketing site. You can now add embedded video from YouTube or Vimeo to rich text fields, for example on the Donation Landing page at checkout.

3. CYO Subscriptions on the new Public Ticketing Site

Event Instances with Instance Dates in the past were appearing in the list of options on Choose-Your-Own subscriptions in the new public ticketing site. We have fixed this issue to ensure that Event Instances with dates in the past never appear in your CYO subscriptions.

4. CYO Subscription Flat Discount Codes

We resolved an issue that prevented use of "Flat" Discount Codes with CYO subscriptions in PatronManager Box Office.

5. PatronTicket Donations via the new Public Ticketing Site

We recently identified an issue with auto-qualified Ticket Orders that contained Donations submitted via the new public ticketing site. This led to a small subset of online PatronTicket Donations not appearing in the To Be Qualified Ticket Order list or notifications, though the transaction was processed successfully on the Ticket Order. This issue has been resolved, so those Donations can once again be qualified normally.
