January 2011 Release Notes: https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/25245

This article is old!  Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?

There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer.  For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above.  If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.

Here's a list of the major new features included in this release. At the bottom of the page, you'll see links to continue reading about how to use some of the new functionality -- and of course, please contact us if you have any questions!

1. Refunds and Exchanges

1. Refunds and Exchanges

Better refund/exchange functionality, and better revenue tracking too. Here's a quick list of what's new:

- Multiple partial refunds on a single order

- Upcharges and credits for unequal-value exchanges

- "Payment Transaction Items" for better reporting about refunds and exchanges

2. More flexible fee options

2. More flexible fee options

We're giving you more options for the fees you charge to your patrons.

- Set your own per-ticket fees, regardless of what PatronTech collects

- Charge one "Per-Transaction" fee (e.g., a handling fee)

- Selectively waive per-ticket fees for patrons

3. Track the Origin of Ticket Orders

3. Track the Origin of Ticket Orders

The new "order origin" field lets you track how people buy their tickets: online/phone/in-person/etc.

4. Find orders by their Order Number

4. Find orders by their Order Number

We added a filter to the PatronTicket Orders list so you can search by Order Name, and find what you're looking for faster.

5. Edit or Delete Draft Orders

5. Edit or Delete Draft Orders

Every time you create a new Ticket Order, it's automatically saved as a Draft. Draft orders that don't get completed or saved as a Reservation are deleted automatically after 1 hour. If you need to edit or delete a draft order, you can now see a list of them: just choose "My Draft Orders" in the View filter at the top of the ticket orders page.

6. Faster Qualification

6. Faster Qualification

When you're qualifying orders, you'll see that contact merging is faster and "smarter." Selecting an existing contact to merge with will automatically select the "merge with selected Contact" option -- that's fewer clicks for you.

7. Redesigned Discount Code Management

7. Redesigned Discount Code Management

We've made it easier to set up your discount codes -- you can now filter the list of available Price Levels to see only what you want to see.

8. Print "Receipt" Pages for Point-of-Sale Tickets

8. Print "Receipt" Pages for Point-of-Sale Tickets

Give patrons a credit card receipt for their tickets, or have them sign one for your records. If you're using printed tickets (or if you have a printer and want to start!) and you'd like to include pages like these, contact us and we'll configure it for you. (Right now, this feature is only for "point of sale" tickets on ticket stock, not print-at-home PDFs.)

9. PatronMail: "Connect With Us" feature

9. PatronMail: "Connect With Us" feature

Social media can be a great way of connecting and building relationships with your patrons -- but first you have to let them know where to find you! We've made it easier for you to include links to all your social media sites within your PatronMail e-mail campaigns.
