Print-At-Home (PDF) Ticket Redesign (August 2013): https://help.pm.leapevent.tech/a/131185

This article is old!  Wouldn't you rather read something... fresher?

There may be outdated information or suggestions in this article that made sense at the time of the release, but no longer.  For the most up-to-date information about this topic, use a keyword in the search bar above.  If you're looking for more current release notes, you can find those here.

This change has been a long time coming -- we're overjoyed to finally deliver it to you.

More Like a Ticket, More Customized Information

More Like a Ticket, More Customized Information

You told us that the old print-at-home ticket design just wasn't cutting it -- you wanted to be able to include things like venue information or sponsor ads, and you wanted it to look more like a physical ticket. We've done all that, and also added a place for a friendly message to your patrons at the top letting them know they should bring the entire page to the event. We'll walk you through each new section below.

(Note: Much of this ticket can be customized in the same ways you're used to with the point-of-sale ticket, which necessitates that our Client Services team work with you directly to implement this. If you're interested in getting started right away, contact the PatronManager Client Administration team by clicking the red "Submit a Support Request" button in the PatronManager Help tab.)

Ticket and Stub

At the top of the page, you'll find an area that looks just like a point-of-sale ticket. We can move information around just like we can on that ticket, so we can even match the designs pretty closely.

(You'll notice that we've included barcodes in this sample ticket. Did you know you can scan your tickets at the door for attendance tracking? Your ushers use an Android mobile device and/or a handheld barcode scanner. Here's a quick video to demonstrate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9JJRfA9I3o)

Please note that Formatted Name is only available on tickets if the ticket template has been updated with this field. If you have entered text into the Formatted Name field and you don't see that text printing on tickets, submit a support request to our Client Administration team via the red button in the PatronManager Help tab.

Event Section

Want to add an event-specific image to the ticket? Or give your audience something to think about before the show? Or perhaps you have special instructions for them. Use this space to add custom text and/or images to your ticket:

Event Section

In this example we're just showing an image, but this block can be text, an image, or both!

Sponsorship/Advertising Section

You can upload an additional image to display on the ticket -- it can really be anything you want, although we're officially calling it the sponsor/advertising space. And yes, you can have different sponsor images for different events.

Sponsorship/Advertising Section

(Please don't try to use this coupon at the Carnegie Deli, downstairs from our office. We made it up!)

Organization Info Section

You can use this section however you wish, for a default message that displays on all tickets, regardless of event. You might want to include legal information here (as we did below), or you might want to let your patrons know about your excellent subscriber benefits.

Venue Section

If your venue is hard to find, or you have specific parking rules, or there are no elevators in the building, or you'd just like to include a map and directions... this space is where you can do that.

Venue Section

Logo Section

One logo that displays on all tickets, regardless of event, so you can make sure this ticket is in line with your brand.
