Have you heard the news? After 15 years of providing our PatronMail service to the arts industry, we will be retiring it as of February 15, 2017. We're now partnering with MailChimp and Emma, leading email providers which service over 50,000 clients, including over 2,000 non-profits, to provide you with an excellent alternative to PatronMail. CRM is all about connecting and building relationships with your patrons. Social media can be a great way of doing just that -- but first you have to let your patrons know where to find you! We've made it easier for you to include links to all your social media sites within your PatronMail e-mail campaigns. Here's how to set up this new feature in your account:

Our new "connect with us" feature lets you automatically include links to all your organization's social media accounts right within your PatronMail campaign. You'll configure the links as part of your main PatronMail account information; then each time you create a new campaign, you'll have the option to include links to these sites at the bottom of the campaign.

What you need to do:

To set up this feature, you'll need to log in to your PatronMail account and edit your settings there. Unless you were a PatronMail client before getting started with PatronManager, you probably haven't spent much time looking at the menus in PatronMail itself, so here's your chance.

Go to the Edit Account Information page (on the My Account tab in your PatronMail account).

(To log in to your PatronMail account, go to www.patronmail.com and enter your PatronMail username and password -- these are different from your PatronManager login information. If you need help, click on the SUPPORT button on the right!)

At the bottom of the screen, you'll see all the possible sites you can link to: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Yelp, Flickr, MySpace, Foursquare, and your company blog.

Enter the URLs for all the sites you want to have the option of linking to in your campaigns.

That's all you need to do! Next time you create a new campaign from within your PatronManager account, you'll see the social options when you design the campaign.

On the first page of each new campaign you create, you'll see checkboxes next to all the sites you set up links for! Here you can choose to include whichever ones you want -- just check or uncheck the boxes.

At the bottom of your PatronMail campaign, you'll see a box with the words "connect with us" and icons that link to all the social media sites you set up.
